It’s mini-Olivier!
Too sweet Harper’s spread featuring chidren dressed up as designers including Karl Lagerfeld, Alber Elbaz, Donatella Versace, John Galliano, Miuccia Prada, Olivier Theyskens, and Stella McCartney.  Must get my hands on a closeup of the mini-Elbaz…it will make my day.

For the next week…

In a world…where bgg has 4 midterms, 2 essays, 2 group projects and 2 assignments to attend to…
this is the only good part of my day.  How I wish this man was my professor…maybe then I would retain all this information and I wouldn’t be staring crazy-eyed at the gibberish that are apparently my notes […]

A closer look #11

From the Moschino archives

A jacket whose long sleeves are made from remnants of wool cloth, gathered with decorative stitching in metalic silver thread. The irregularities of the fabric and stitches render the piece unique. Two hidden snap-buttons at closure, central rear slit.
released to yoox.com with proceeds going to support the AMREF project.

What do you buy in bulk?

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Came across yet another vintage clothing site with yet another different spin.  Like those bulk posts on ebay, Sugar Sugar Vintage sells clothing in small lots, combining pieces by style and era.  Must say, they do a heck of a lot better with showing what the items actually look like than anything you’d find on ebay.  The prices also […]

Monday, October 15th, 2007

A bit of a breezy day today, but otherwise the sun’s shining so much I can just pile on a few layers and leave the jacket at home.  I’m going to be spending the day locked up in the library (oncoming midterms next week…4 at once which will either lead me into panic attacks or […]

A tale of two lovers

Saturday, October 13th, 2007

hoss intropia, meet marni.
marni, say hi to hoss:

At about half the prices (at minimum) of Marni, you can call me smitten with this new find of mine.  Extremely smitten.  Outrageously so.
Seems like I wasn’t the only one inspired by the stone applique at Marni (see extremely simplified, completely lower-quality attempt here).  I love their take […]

And this porridge is just right

Friday, October 12th, 2007

Bad news bear: the laptop has gone rogue agent on me (yet again), which means I am at the parents’ on a computer that is older than the coca-cola candy I found in my purse today and loads pages by the half-hour.
Bitter news bear: no cocoon coats on ebay as of late.  Or suitable leather dresses.  Or budget-friendly […]
